the feed tube on my old attachment always got clogged with sinew and I'd have to stop and clear it every few minutes. this one moves through without backing up, even with fattier cuts. makes grinding a whole lot less frustrating.

It mounts to the front of my stand mixer the same way other attachments do, which I appreciated. No adapters or fiddling around, just attach and go. The whole grinder head feels really substantial once it's locked in.
The metal construction means it doesn't pick up odors the way my old one did. After grinding lamb or fish, a quick wash and it smells completely clean. That alone makes it worth it for me.
My last grinder attachment was plastic and the housing cracked after just a few uses. This one is all metal so that's not even a concern anymore. Ground about ten pounds of pork last weekend and it handled everything without complaint.
the pusher tool that comes with it is actually useful, not just a token safety piece. it fits the feed tube well and gives you real control over how fast meat goes in. ended up using it almost every time.
Honestly one of the more useful attachments I've added to my kitchen. I use it pretty regularly now and it's held up well since I got it.
