honestly this thing runs so quiet i forget it's on. my old one sounded like a small engine in my kitchen and my family complained constantly. this one just hums along in the background while i do other stuff.
Does the job. Easy to clean. Happy with it.
I use it for herbs from my garden mostly. Dries them beautifully and they keep their color and smell better than air drying ever did for me. Definitely worth it.
told my friend to get one of these after she said she was nervous about uneven drying since her old machine always scorched the edges. She picked this up and texted me saying everything comes out consistent tray to tray. We both use it at least twice a week now.
Eight trays and it doesn't heat unevenly like I expected. I had a cheaper one years ago that basically only worked on the bottom two trays and everything else was just warm air. Loaded all eight with apple slices last time and every single one dried at the same rate.
My last dehydrator had no timer so I'd constantly forget it was running and either over-dry everything or have to babysit it for hours. This one lets me set the time and walk away completely. Made a huge batch of dried mangoes last weekend and it came out perfectly without me hovering over it once.
Perfect for jerky.
Eight trays sounds like a lot until you realize how much fruit shrinks down during drying, then you understand why you need all of them. The trays themselves are solid and easy to pull out, and the spacing feels well thought out so thicker cuts still have room for airflow.
Very pleased with this. Works exactly as I hoped and the results have been consistently good across everything I've tried so far.
Really happy with this. Makes the best dried mango I've ever had and it's so much cheaper than buying it at the store.
