Simple, elegant, and it works exactly as it should. Very pleased with this purchase.
I was worried the steel filter would be a pain to clean but it comes apart easily and rinses out in seconds. spent way too long scrubbing mesh filters on old presses so this was a relief.
the steel filter does something my old paper-filter drip machine never could, it keeps all those natural oils in the coffee so the flavor is so much richer and fuller. you really notice the difference.
my last french press had this terrible plastic taste that ruined every cup. this one is all glass and steel so there's none of that. coffee tastes clean and exactly how it should.
told my coworker to grab one of these because she kept complaining that her old press would shatter if she looked at it wrong. she messaged me a week later saying the glass feels way sturdier than she expected and she's been using it daily.

the 21 oz size is honestly perfect for two people. makes just enough for two full mugs without any going to waste, and the glass lets you see exactly how much you're pouring.
the glass is thick enough that it holds heat well while the coffee steeps. i usually do a four minute brew and by the time i pour it's still nice and hot. small thing but it matters.
honestly i just brew in it every morning and the plunger goes down smooth every time. no grinds sneaking through into my cup, which used to drive me crazy with cheaper ones.
