Having the cover makes such a difference in a dusty entryway. I wiped down my shoes before putting them in and they stayed clean, which never happened with my open shelving. The whole thing looks a lot more polished than a bare rack too, almost like a little shoe wardrobe.

the 10 tiers are staggered at a slight angle so footwears actually stay put instead of sliding off. noticed that right away when I put my first few pairs on, my favorite flats and sandals. keeps everything facing the same direction which makes finding a pair really quick.
honestly the cover on this just zips up clean and keeps everything dust free, no complaints. shoes i haven't worn in a while came out just as clean as when i put them in. does exactly what it's supposed to.
