The 12 hour timer is genuinely useful. I set it before bed so it runs through the warmest part of the night and shuts off on its own. Don't have to think about it at all, which is exactly what I wanted.
Told my neighbour to grab one of these after she said she'd had issues with coolers leaking water all over her floor. She got it, been using it for a while now, no leaks at all. We're both really pleased with it.

what I like is that the remote actually controls everything, not just the power button. Fan speed, timer, oscillation, all of it from the couch. Makes a real difference when you're already comfortable and don't want to get up.
I was a bit worried the remote would be flimsy or stop working after a few uses like remotes on cheaper units tend to do. It still works perfectly from across the room and feels solid enough. No complaints there at all.
filling the water tank and dropping in some ice cubes on a really hot day takes the cool air to another level. It blows noticeably colder for a good stretch after that. Simple but it works really well.
The oscillation on this covers a decent spread of the room, not just blasting one narrow spot. Combined with the cool mist it actually brings the temperature down noticeably rather than just moving warm air around.
