Really happy with this. Cleared the check engine light on my car in under two minutes and it hasn't come back since.
it gives you the code and a plain description so you actually understand what the car is flagging. I used to have to look everything up separately after getting a code from my old reader. this saves a step and that adds up.
tried it as soon as it arrived and what I noticed right away is how fast it reads once you plug it into the port. no long loading screen, no waiting around. it pulls the code and shows you something actually readable, not just a jumble of letters and numbers with no context.

told my neighbor to grab one of these because she was nervous about buying an OBD scanner after reading horror stories about them not supporting older vehicles. hers is a late 90s model and it read the codes perfectly first try. she texted me right after saying she wished she'd done it sooner.

the CAN protocol support is the real reason I picked this over others and it delivers. my 1996 vehicle is one of the earlier ones with that system and this reads it without any issues. not all scanners handle that correctly so it matters 💪.
