The timer is genuinely useful. I set it to run during the day while I'm at work and it's off by the time I get home. The humidity in my house has noticeably dropped since I started doing that, and I'm not wasting energy running it around the clock
Really happy with this. My basement finally feels dry instead of that stuffy damp air I had been dealing with for years. Totally worth it.

My last dehumidifier would fill up and just keep running, overflow all over the floor, it was a nightmare. This one actually shuts off when the tank is full. Found out the hard way with the old one during a humid summer and I was not going through that again. Really glad this one handles it properly.
told my coworker to grab one of these because she was dealing with a damp basement and was nervous about leaving it running overnight. She texted me a few days later saying the timer works perfectly and she just sets it before bed. No more worrying about it running nonstop.
the noise on my old unit was unbearable, like a rattling box fan stuck on high. this one runs quietly enough that I forget it's even on. I have it going in the bedroom hallway and it doesn't bother anyone.
I was worried it wouldn't be powerful enough for my open living space but it handles the whole main floor no problem. The tank is a decent size too so I'm not emptying it every few hours like I had to with a smaller one I owned before.
